Aflight
Privacy policy
Effective October 28, 2026
Aflight is made by Eric Matzner. This policy covers the Aflight apps for Apple Watch and iPhone, and this website.
The Aflight app
Aflight does not require an account. The app does not include advertising or analytics SDKs, and your trip information is not sent to an Aflight-operated server.
What stays on your devices
The flight details, times, airport, home address, and step settings you enter are stored on your devices. The iPhone and Apple Watch apps exchange trip information through Apple's device connection. Watch-face complications use shared on-device storage. Reminders are scheduled locally.
If you import a boarding pass, supported details are processed on your device. Aflight does not upload the boarding pass to an Aflight server.
Location and Apple Maps
With your permission, Aflight uses your current location to estimate your drive to the airport and check arrival. Addresses and route locations are sent to Apple's Maps services to look up locations and calculate travel times. Aflight does not maintain a location history on its own servers.
You can change location permission in your device's Settings. Without location access, manually configured countdowns remain available. Apple processes Maps requests under the Apple Privacy Policy.
Other services you choose to open
If you choose to open a ride-service link, that service may receive the destination and handle your request under its own privacy policy. Aflight does not book a ride on your behalf.
This website and contact form
The website is hosted by Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes technical request information, such as your IP address, to deliver and protect the website. We do not add advertising trackers or analytics cookies.
When you submit the contact form, your message and any optional reply email you provide are stored in a private Cloudflare D1 database. Your browser then sends those details and the message reference to Web3Forms to forward a notification to our support inbox. Web3Forms also receives technical request information, including your IP address, when your browser contacts its service. See the Web3Forms Privacy Policy.
We use support messages to respond to requests and feedback, not for advertising. Messages are not publicly accessible. We retain them as needed to handle your request and maintain support records. A database copy remains available even if the email notification fails. Email forwarding does not guarantee that a message reaches the inbox rather than a spam folder.
Cloudflare uses your IP address temporarily for abuse rate limiting; Aflight does not store it in the D1 message record. Do not include passwords, payment information, or sensitive travel documents in the form. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for its processing.
Your choices and requests
You can remove app data by deleting the app and its saved data from your devices. To ask about access to or deletion of a support message, use the contact form. Include your message reference if available and a reply address so we can follow up.
Children
Aflight is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the support form. Contact us if you believe a child has submitted personal information.
Changes and contact
Changes will be posted here with an updated effective date. For privacy questions, contact Aflight support.
